Brake & Steering Rebuilders History

As a bit of history we have been in business since 1971 when the company was called Speedy Brake and Clutch located in Mississauga Ontario. Back then there were only around 40 different types of domestic brake caliper numbers, now there are thousands.

Original Founder

We were founded by Hans Fogt, a Denmark Native who immigrated to Canada in 1965 where he founded the company shortly there after.

Hans moved the company to London Ontario in 1990, rebranding it as Brake & Steering Rebuilders and our local presence began.

New Chapter- Same Great Product

In 1991 our current owner, Gord McIntosh walked into BSR looking to rebuild his own calipers for his Datsun and after repairing it in Hans shop was hired on the spot.
 
Gord purchased the company in 2017 continuing the years of quality service and products offered to the rebuilding of Brake & Steering Components.

BSR have rebuilt brake & steering components for customers across Canada
including for customers in the United States.

Calipers are rebuilt with MADE IN CANADA parts right here in our London Ontario shop.
By utilizing quality grade rebuilt components and Manufacturer Original core components,
you get the best of both worlds.
